FOOTBALL SECURITY POLICIES & PROCEDURES

 

GENERAL POLICIES & PROCEDURES

  • All ticket holders voluntarily assume all risk of property loss and personal injury or illness arising during or as a result of ticket use and attendance
  • All patrons and bags are subject to search.
  • ETSU reserves the right to eject any patron for failing to adhere to venue policies including unlawful or unruly behavior.
  • Items such as outside food and drink, alcohol and tobacco products, weapons of any kind, or signs containing foul/abusive language are not permitted.
  • Per NCAA rules, no noise makers of any kind are permitted.
  • No pets or animals of any kind are allowed, with the exception of documented service animals.
  • There is no re-entry permitted.
  • All ETSU Athletics venues are tobacco-free facilities. No smoking or vaping is allowed in the facility or on premises.
  • ETSU student ID required for access to student seating/parking.

CLEAR BAG POLICY 

  • All bags larger than 6.5" x 4.5" must be clear
  • All bags are subject to search and seizure
  • Clear totes, plastic ziplock bags, seat cushions less than 18" wide, clutch and small purses, and wallets are permitted
  • Backpacks, drawstring bags, fanny packs, large purses, mesh bags, oversize totes, shopping bags, and patterned or tinted plastic bags are not allowed

PROHIBITED ITEMS

The following items are not permitted in Greene Stadium:
  • Backpacks
  • Outside food & beverage
  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Illegal drugs
  • Firearms or weapons of any kind
  • Tobacco products
  • Pets
  • Strollers
  • Umbrellas
  • Camping or tailgating chairs
  • Stadium seats larger than 18" across
  • Unauthorized signs or banners

TAILGATING GUIDELINES

ETSU welcomes alumni, fans, students, and friends to participate in tailgating activities! Individuals, groups, and organizations hosting or participating in tailgating are responsible for their own conduct as well as that of their guests. All tailgaters are expected to respect the rights of others and should refrain from behavior that infringes upon others' enjoyment of the Buccaneer game day experience. Students are expected to adhere to the ETSU Student Code of Conduct.
  • Tailgating is permitted on game days in areas designated by the athletics department and at other ETSU events as designated by the Office of the President or designee. Unless otherwise stated, set up can begin at 8:00am and must be cleared following the game.
  • Be aware when driving through lots. Bikes, motorcycles, skateboards, and scooters are not to be used in tailgate lots.
  • Glass bottles are prohibited. All beverages must be in plastic or non-breakable cups. Large containers, common drink dispensers, or any device/activity designed to increase the consumption of beverages is prohibited.
  • Portable radio/stereo units are allowed, however volume and language should be appropriate for all ages. Platforms, stages, or enclosed tents are not permitted. No staking or tent pegs in paved areas.
  • No open flames, fires built on the ground, or open fire pit devices allowed. Propane grills are permissable. Propane tanks capped at 20 pounds. Fire safety equipment should be available if grill is in use. Properly ventilated gas generators (max. 1500 watts) also allowed.
  • No food/drink sales, solicitation, or advertising without ETSU permit. No food/drink may be brought into the stadium.
  • Disposal of all trash is required. Items remaining may be discarded and vehicles towed at owners' expense.
  • No stadium re-entry after kickoff. ETSU student ID required for access to student parking and seating areas. Guests should be in posession of photo ID at all times.
  • In adherence with university policy, ETSU is tobacco-free. All tobacco usage is permitted only inside of private vehicles.
